How To Record Sketch Motion Puppet Pin Animations in Adobe After Effects CC 2024:

1. Select Layer To Animate
2. Go to Toolbar and click on Puppet Tool (Cmd/Ctrl + P)
3. Drag CTI to the beginning of Timeline
4. Click to add pins
5. Click on ‘Record Options’ to customize Speed & Smoothing (optional)
6. Select Pin or Shift+Click to select multiple pins
7. Press the Cmd/Ctrl Key (look for Timer Icon)
8. Drag Pin(s) in the desired direction and speed
9. Release Cmd/Ctrl key to stop or wait until CTI reaches the end of the Timeline
10. Tap the Spacebar to preview animation
11. Tap U to reveal all keyframes
12. Go to Window…Smoother to open Smoother Panel and manage number of keyframes (optional)
