How To Use CC Jaws Effect in After Effects
- Create New Composition
- Add Background Layer
- Add Logo, Text, Graphic Layer on top of Background Layer
- Add Layer on top that ‘covers’ all of the layers below
- Go to Effects & Presets Panel
- Search For CC Jaws
- Drag CC Jaws Effect on Top Layer
How To Animate CC Jaws Effect
- Go to Effect Controls
- Drag CTI (PlayHead to the beginning of Timeline)
- Click the Stopwatch next to ‘Completion’ & ‘Shape’ to add keyframes
- Drag CTI forward in time to the 2 second mark
- Change Completion amount to 65%
- Change CC Jaws Shape to ‘RoboJaw’
- Move CTI forward in time and change shape to ‘Blocks’
- Move CTI forward in time and change shape to ‘Waves’
- Press Spacebar to Preview
How To Reverse Animation:
- Drag a selection over all keyframes
- Copy selected keyframes (Cmd/Ctrl + C)
- Move CTI forward in time to 4 second mark
- Paste keyframes (Cmd/Ctrl + V)
- Right-click on one of the selected keyframes that was just pasted
- Select ‘Keyframe Assistant’ in the contextual menu
- Select ‘Time Reverse Keyframes’
- Press Spacebar to Preview
