Audio Spectrum Effect:
The effect displays the magnitude of audio levels at frequencies in the range that you define using Start Frequency and End Frequency. Learn More on Adobe.

How To Create a Mask To Use With Audio Spectrum Effect:
- Create New Composition
- Add Background Layer
- Add a Texture Layer or New Solid Color Layer
- Select the Pen Tool (G) or the Shape Tool (Ellipse, etc)
- Using the Ellipse Tool, hold the Shift Key to drag out a perfect circle mask
- Select the ’Star Shape Tool’ to draw stars if you want to follow along the tutorial
How To Apply Audio Spectrum Effect
- Drag an audio/music file onto the Composition
- Go to the Effects & Presets Panel
- Search for ‘Audio’
- Drag ‘Audio Spectrum’ on top of the Texture/Solid Layer
- Go to Effect Controls
- Go to Audio Layer Property
- Click the ‘drop-down menu’ and select the Mask to use for Audio Spectrum effect
- Click spacebar to preview the audio spectrum
- Customize the Audio Spectrum Effect in ‘Effect Controls’
How To Display & Side Options
- Drag CTI (PlayHead to the beginning of Timeline)
- Click the Stopwatch next to ‘Display & Side Options’ to add keyframes
- Drag CTI forward in time to the 2 second mark
- Change Display & Side Options
- Repeat down the timeline and randomize to taste
- Press Spacebar to Preview
Finishing Touch:
- Go to ‘Effects & Presets’
- Search for ‘Hand’
- Drag ‘Hand-Drawn Effect’ on top of Texture Layer with Audio Spectrum Effect
- Tap Spacebar and the Masks should have a wiggle movement
- Customize ‘Hand-Drawn Effect’ to taste
