Real examples:

  • Maintaining an automation nobody fully understands
  • Using three AI tools that mostly do the same thing
  • Avoiding an update because it might break an old setup

Why it matters now:

  • AI makes it easy to add new tools, workflows, agents, databases, and subscriptions. The difficult part is removing them.
  • For solo builders, tech debt can quietly consume time and attention. You spend more energy maintaining yesterday’s setup and less time building what matters next.
